About Us

Founded in 2015, our company is a residential real estate developer based in Boston, Massachusetts. We cater primarily to the entry-level home buyer by creating financially sensible, yet aesthetically sophisticated homes that can be purchased at affordable price points throughout New England. We call it “sensible sophistication,” and it’s the foundation on which our firm is built.

Our properties are marketed and sold by our experienced team of real estate brokers and agents. Our dedicated team is committed to providing transactional insight and expertise that is unparalleled in current marketplace.

Our Team

Jonathan J. Carlson

Managing Member / Counsel

Mr. Carlson is a Co-Founder of Carlson Capital and serves as the firm’s General Counsel and Principal Broker. Primarily responsible for the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions on both the legal and brokerage side, Jonathan brings a lifelong passion for real estate and creative design, as well as a proven track record for deal making.

Prior to Carlson Capital, Jonathan was employed as an attorney in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Tax Practice, and as an Associate at a New York based private equity firm.

Jonathan earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ellis School and resides in Boston’s South End with his wife Jamie, and their daughter, Jocelyn.

Christopher M. Carlson

Managing Member / Director of Development

Mr. Carlson is a Co-Founder of Carlson Capital and serves as the firm’s Director of Development. Primarily responsible for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operational activities and project plans, Mr. Carlson brings a tremendous instinct for problem solving, critical thinking and project management.

Prior to Carlson Capital, Christopher was employed as a Software Engineer by Fidelity Investments. Christopher earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Pace University and is also a licensed contractor. Christopher resides in Boston’s South End.

Kurt E. Carlson

Member / Advisor

Mr. Carlson is a Co-Founder of Carlson Capital and serves in an advisory capacity. Kurt brings a wide range of operational and financial management experience across multiple industries.

Kurt is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Heliflite Shares, an executive helicopter transportation company operating in the Northeast United States, South Florida and Chicago.

Kurt holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut and resides with his wife, Susan, at their homes in Connecticut and on Cape Cod.
